OPPORTUNITIES AT THE SAVANNAH RIVER SITE
Nuclear Criticality Safety Engineers

Nuclear Safety Associates has been awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) from Fluor Government Group to provide Professional Support Services to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS). SRNS is the new M&O contractor for the Savannah River Site – their five year contract award from DOE, announced in January, was protested by the incumbent Washington Savannah River Company (WSRC), but that protest was recently denied by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The 90 day transition period has now started.

NSA has the opportunity to fill needs for multiple criticality safety engineers, nuclear safety engineers, and nuclear safety analysts to support SRS operations via this contractual vehicle. Descriptions for these jobs can be found at the links below. Anyone interested in these opportunities should send their resume to Robert.Frost@nuclearassociates.com, or call toll-free (877) 610-0249.

NSA is also anticipating receipt of a BOA from the Parsons-led team that bid on the Liquid Waste contract at SRS (Savannah River Tank Closure, LLC). This award has not yet been announced, but we are accepting resumes for the same type of personnel – criticality safety engineers, nuclear safety engineers, nuclear safety analysts – in anticipation of an award in the near future.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in nuclear engineering, physics, or a related field; or

  • an equivalent combination of technical education and experience with fissile materials.

  • Capability to perform computational analyses and write technical reports.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of criticality safety analysis and fissile material operations support.

  • Familiarity with advanced analysis techniques such as MCNP and SCALE, with Pu and U processing facilities, with nuclear waste management, and with D&D activities in the DOE complex is desirable.
