In early 2011 NSA and Merrick & Company joined forces to leverage their respective expertise and experience to offer a comprehensive scope of services for nuclear power plant power uprates, from engineering design and analysis to safety analysis and licensing. Power uprates represent an economical means for utilities to add power to the grid, and this market is expected to grow significantly over the next decade.
Merrick’s expertise in engineering, architecture, design-build, surveying, and geospatial technologies services, combined with its decades of service to the energy, national security, science & technology, and infrastructure markets, makes the firm an ideal partner for NSA. In addition to power uprates, under the joint marketing agreement the two companies are pursuing opportunities within the small modular reactors and medical isotope production facilities markets as well.
