NSA’s capabilities in nuclear facility readiness and management of nuclear operations was instrumental in the startup of the Highly Enriched Uranium Materials Facility (HEUMF) at the Y-12 National Security Complex. Our role included supporting readiness assist teams, the Implementation Validation Review (IVR), and the contractor Operational Readiness Review (ORR).
